WELCOME TO THE LEGION
As the 501st Legion continues to reach out and touch the lives of fans, it also seeks to recognize those who have contributed their time, skills and talents to the Star Wars saga in some special way. There are also many friends of the Legion who may not have specifically worked for Lucasfilm, but who have shown tremendous support of the 501st and Star Wars fandom.
Those listed on this page have been presented a custom plaque by a member of the Imperial Scottish Garrison to commemorating their relationship with the 501st Legion, and can rely on our members to demonstrate the utmost hospitality wherever they may travel in the territories represented by the Fighting 501st.

IAN McDIARMID
(HONORARY MEMBER)
Ian is an actor who needs no introduction having portrayed Palpatine in many of the Star Wars movies. He is also an accomplished Shakespearian actor with numerous roles on stage and screen. Ian has been an honorary member of the 501st since 2005 but as a Scots born actor, we had to take the opportunity to make him an honorary member.

JOHN SIMPKIN
(HONORARY MEMBER)
John is a talented actor and passionate musician who has appeared in many famous films and has doubled for Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson, but we know him best for his roles in Return of the Jedi as Klaatu and a stormtrooper in the famous bunker scene.

TINA SIMMONS
(HONORARY MEMBER)
Tina is a versatile actress who has had roles in many memorable films such as The Dark Knight and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but it is for her role as a rebel technician in Return of the Jedi that we honoured her. Tina also gives of her time and talents to support charities who look after those who have spent their lives and careers working in the arts.

DEE TAILS
(HONORARY MEMBER)
Dee is a British actor/singer who has starred as a creature and droid performer in 4 separate Star Wars films. Dee has also provided puppeteer work on the films.
Dee’s induction was extra special as in attendance was the newly unveiled R2KT-46 along with her “godmother” Samantha Alleyne
It was our honour and genuine pleasure to be able to induct Dee as an honourary member of the 501st Legion.

JULIAN GLOVER
(HONORARY MEMBER)
Julian is a world-renowned actor whose stage and screen career has spanned over 6 decades. He portrayed General Maximillian Veers in the Empire strikes back in 1980 and has been an honourary member of the 501st Legion since 2002.
We had the privilege to induct Julian as an Honorary Member of the Imperial Scottish Garrison, a much more exclusive club.
